Life-Saving Pro-Life Mobile Ultrasound Unit to Park at Rockford's Abortion Mill Every Friday

A Huge Thank You To the Holy Family Knights Of Columbus!

Twelve men from the Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council 13123 have are covering the cost to have the mobile ultrasound motor home at Rockford's abortion mill on the first Friday of the month for the next year.

From the depths of our hearts we thank these "twelve apostles" for their love for Jesus Christ and the mothers and children in need in Rockford.

Your help is needed to keep it coming to Rockford every week!

Through the hard work of local pro-lifers, the Image Clear Mobile Ultrasound Unit will be coming to Rockford to park outside the abortion clinic on Friday mornings.  This is one of the most important life-saving opportunities that has ever been available to mothers considering an abortion at Rockford's abortion mill!

The Image Clear Mobile Ultrasound Unit will park on the street right outside of Rockford's abortion facility to offer women FREE:

• Pregnancy testing

• An ultrasound by a trained, certified ultrasound technician so a mother can see her child

• Information a mother may need about pregnancy and adoption 

• Referral information to the Rockford Area Pregnancy Care Center

• Resources, friendship, and support that a mother may need in this uncertain time in her life

• This mobile ultrasound unit will be a visible sign of HOPE to  mothers in need at the Rockford abortion mill

Up to 85% of women who see an ultrasound image of the baby in their womb choose life!  It is our hope this free mobile ultrasound unit will play a part in the saving of children's lives.

The pro-life sidewalk counselors in Rockford have been told by numerous mothers leaving the Rockford abortion mill how difficult (if not impossible) it is to get the abortuary workers to allow them to see the ultrasound image of their unborn child.  This mobile unit would ensure that any mother who would like to see her child in the womb may do so in a clean, supportive, and safe environment.

NOW is the time that your help is needed!

The Rockford Pro-Life Initiative has already paid for the first month to keep the Image Clear Ultrasound unit coming to Rockford.  The cost for this lifesaving resource is $250.00 per week.  This covers the driver, a trained, certified ultrasound technician, and the insurance and expenses needed for the motor home to come to Rockford from Elgin every Friday morning.

The Rockford Pro-Life Initiative is gladly taking on the responsibility for raising the funds to keep this unit coming to Rockford. But it can't be done without your help!  We are accepting donation that will go directly toward the weekly cost of this lifesaving mission.  No donation is too large or too small!!!

We are also looking for individuals, groups, or Churches that are willing to pledge to cover the cost of the mobile ultrasound for one week per year.  If we can find 52 such sponsors we will be assured of keeping this lifesaving ministry coming to Rockford.

Silent No More Awareness Campaign

Dear Friends,

As someone dedicated to standing against abortion, you are well aware of the issues of Post Abortion Syndrome and what abortion does to women. The purpose of this letter is to tell you about the Silent No More Awareness Campaign that is being held to raise awareness about the affects that abortion has on women, men and society.

I am the Regional Coordinator for Northern Illinois and need your help to spread the word about the Campaign and to encourage those who regret their abortion to join us!

The Silent No More Awareness Campaign wants to make the public aware of the devastation abortion brings to women, men, and their families. The emotional and physical pain of abortion should no longer be shrouded in secrecy and silence, but rather exposed and healed. Specifically, this Campaign seeks to:

1. Inform the public that abortion is harmful emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

2. Reach out to people who are hurting from a past abortion experience.

3. Invite those who regret their abortion to participate in speaking the truth about abortion’s negative effects.

We are planning a gathering for Northern Illinois at the Peace Plaza in Rockford, IL on October 3, 2010 at 3:15 pm (off

Perryville near Woodman's) following LifeChain. Those who choose to participate in the Gathering are invited to share a brief 2-3 minute testimony of their experience, and hold our “I Regret My Abortion” or “I Regret Lost Fatherhood” signs.

Those who are not ready to share their story can still participate by holding our "I Regret My Abortion" or “I Regret Lost Fatherhood” sign.

Please help us publicize this event, in addition to inviting those who have experienced abortion and healing to participate. We would also like to have people come to support and listen to our testimonies. Please consider including an article in your bulletin and/or posting the event on your website.
